How lessons work

The five lesson types, how a lesson flows, and how your progress is saved.

The five lesson types

Each chapter mixes five kinds of lesson, so you practise a topic from every angle:

  • Vocabulary – learn and drill the key business terms for the topic.
  • Grammar – a short explanation, then exercises to lock it in.
  • Reading – a realistic workplace text with comprehension questions.
  • Listening – audio from work situations, with questions and a transcript.
  • AI roleplay – a live conversation with an AI character, plus feedback (see the AI roleplay article).

How a lesson flows

Most lessons start with a short intro, move into a study or question phase, and end on a completion screen that shows the XP you earned. Answer questions, build a combo for getting them right in a row, and finish to bank your progress.

Your progress is saved

If you start a lesson and leave partway through, Lexovo remembers where you were on that device. When you come back, the button reads Continue lesson and you pick up where you left off.

Mid-lesson progress is saved on the device you are using. Finishing a lesson records your completion to your account so it counts everywhere.
